With the release of his latest film “Jugjugg Jeeyo”, evergreen actor Anil Kapoor has spent 39 years in the film industry. His first leading role was in the movie ‘Woh Saat Din’ which was released in 1983 and since then he has worked in many iconic and memorable films. During a recent interview with ETimes, Anil Kapoor opened up about his long and illustrious career path and the impact it has had on his life.
He said, “Oh, that was beautiful! I didn’t realize it until one of my fans told me that ‘Woh 7 Din’ was released exactly 39 years before ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’. Can you believe it, in ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ I’m from Patiala and in ‘Woh 7 Din’ I play a character who comes from Patiala and becomes a music director So being negotiable, approachable, sellable, and still filmmakers wanting to work with me for 39 long years, it’s been very, very encouraging and I really felt like I worked hard at every stage of life.”
Sharing how his career has also shaped his personal life, Anil Kapoor added, “All I have with me, my family, my success, my children, my friendships, my relationship with my directors is hard work. and I invested everything, did it honestly with integrity. I made mistakes, but I learned from those mistakes. I tried to improve myself as much as possible, not only as an actor , but as a father, as a husband, as a son, as a friend, as a member of the team. I try my best to improve myself as much as possible.”
