The Alia Bhatt-Starrer is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with an estimated budget of around 150 crore. RRR
Led by SS Rajamouli, RRR stars South Indian actors NT Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. The story revolves around the revolutionaries and their struggle for independence from British colonial rule in the 1920s. RRR will be released on March 25, 2022. Besides Telugu, the film will be released in five languages including Hindi, Tamil , Malayalam and Kannada.
Prithviraj
The historical drama film Prithviraj tells the story of King Prithviraj Chauhan and his battle against Muhammad Ghori. The film stars actors Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood and former Miss India Manushi Chillar. It is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Prithviraj is set to release on April 1, 2022.
Shamshera
Set in pre-independent India, Shamshera deals with the history of a Dacoit tribe and their battle for independence against British rule. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor as well as Sanjay Dutt. The film is directed by Karan Malhotra under Yash Raj Films. Shamshera will be released on March 18, 2022.

Laal Singh Chaddha
This comedy-drama film is a remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump where actor Aamir Khan tells the story of India as a man with a low IQ. It also includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Pankaj Tripathi as well as Sharman Joshi and others. It is directed by Advait Chandan under Aamir Khan Productions. Laal Singh Chadha is set to release on April 14, 2022.
Adipurush
Based on the Ramayana epic, Adipurush is a Hindu mythological film starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Devdatta Nage and Saif Ali Khan. The film is shot in Hindi and Telugu and is directed by Om Raut. Adipurush will be released on August 11, 2022.

This upcoming superhero movie is directed by Ayan Mukerji with lead actors including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The film is the first part of a planned trilogy based on Indian mythology. The film is set to be released on September 9, 2022.
