1. ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’

Perhaps one of the most popular films of our generation, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani focuses on four friends (played by Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur) and their individual journeys in life. The second half of the film revolves around a destination wedding in Jaipur where the main characters indulge in the usual wedding shenanigans.
2. ‘Veere Di Wedding’

Featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker in the lead roles, the film tells the story of four childhood friends who reunite for the wedding of Kalindi (Kareena). As they go on bachelorette journeys and prepare for marriage, not only do they have personal accomplishments, but they also bond better.
3. “Vivah”

If you want to watch a typical Rajshri movie that has all the intricacies of a traditional wedding, then this is the one for you. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in the lead roles, the film is based on a couple who meet in an arranged marriage and fall in love with each other. If you grew up in the 90s and 2000s, you might have watched this movie many times on TV.
4. “Monsoon Wedding”

Directed by Mira Nair, monsoon wedding offers a nuanced take on a big, fat wedding in Delhi. While there are the usual shenanigans, some uncomfortable skeletons also come out of the closet. Although the film retains the essentials of a wedding film, it also raises important talking points.
