A film based on the life of erstwhile actor Madhubala will soon take off, as veteran actor Madhur’s younger sister Brij Bhushan has now teamed up with the producers of ‘Shaktimaan’ to make this biopic. Taking to Twitter, senior Bollywood critic and business analyst, Taran Aadarsh shared a post, which he captioned, “MADHUBALA BIOPIC ALL READY TO TAKE OFF… Legendary actress’ younger sister #Madhubala #MadhurBrijBhushan has teamed up with producers of #Shaktimaan #BrewingThoughtsPLtd [headed by ex-film journalist #PrashantSingh, #MadhuryaVinay] for the biopic #Madhubala.”
“It has been my lifelong dream to do something for my beloved sister, who lived a very short but memorable life. All my sisters and I have joined forces to make this dream come true. With the blessing of God and the dedication of my partners – Arvindji, Prashant and Vinay, I am confident that this biopic will be successfully made at a high level. We need everyone’s blessing to set up this project beautifully,” says Bhushan.
Biopic talks are at an advanced stage and soon a top production house will be engaged for this Hindi biographical feature film in association with Madhubala Ventures Private Limited (founded by Bhushan and his partners – Arvind Kumar Malviya, Prashant Singh, Madhurya Vinay and Vinay Malvia)
The main actress of the film is still not announced.
Born on February 14, 1933, veteran actor Madhubala was considered one of the most handsome and talented actors in the industry. She made her Bollywood debut at the age of 9 with a romantic musical film “Basant” in 1942.
During a career spanning from the early 1940s to the mid-1960s, she worked in 73 films and her role as “Anarkali” in director K.Asif’s “Mughal-e-Azam” is still considered the greatest performance in the history of Indian cinema. .
