Amitabh Bachchan in Paa

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan starred as a special child with Progeria in R Balki’s 2009 film Paa. The film featured an actual father-son playing the opposite roles on screen. Yes, Amitabh Bachchan played Abhishek Bachchan’s son. Makeup artist Stephen Dupuis did an amazing job completely transforming Amitabh Bachchan who looked unrecognizable in the film. Paa also featured Vidya Balan in a central role.

Rishi Kapoor in Kapoor and Sons

Rishi Kapoor starred as a 90-year-old grandfather in Kapoor and Sons. Makeup artist Greg Cannom transformed the ever-versatile actor into a chubby, cool grandpa everyone could relate to. This is another example of how makeup can transform actors into the character they play in the movie. The film also featured Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan and Siddharth Malhotra in key roles.

Fan-shaped Shah Rukh Khan

Director Maneesh Sharma had King Khan in the dual role of a superstar and his obsessed fan. It wasn’t easy to turn Shah Rukh Khan into 25 years in film. But makeup artist Gray Cannom did the perfect look for Gaurav, 25, in the film. SRK was appreciated for his looks.

Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak look stunned everyone. She played the role of an acid attack victim. It was a challenge for a makeup artist to create the look of a victim. Deepika looked unrecognizable after her makeup and she was also widely praised for her performance.

Bhumi Pednekar in Dum Laga Ke Haisha

The actress has put on huge weight for her debut movie Dum Laga Ke Haisha. She played the role of Ayushmann Khurrana’s overweight wife and how love finally blossoms between them. Bhumi was ashamed of her body after this movie, but she quickly lost 27 kg for the movie Toilet Ek Prem Katha.

Rajkummar Rao in Raabta

Rajkummar Rao as a supercentenarian was simply commendable. The actor played the character of Mohak in Sushant Singh Rajput and starred Kriti Sanon. Prosthetic makeup expert Zuby Johal made him completely unrecognizable in the film.

Randeep Hooda in Sarbjit

Randeep Hooda was seen playing the lead role of Sarbjit in the movie, his appearance in the movie shocked the fans. For a perfect look, he went on a starvation diet. He had to reduce all his meals and he stayed on water and coffee. When he entered the set, he went completely unnoticed and it took Aishwariya Rai almost 15 minutes to recognize Randeep.
