Sonam Kapoor— Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Out of sheer belief in the script, Sonam Kapoor charged Rs 11 for his cameo in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, in his autobiography titled the stranger, revealed that the actor had agreed to play a guest appearance as Biro. She praised the film’s director and crew for working on a story about the score and the mind of Milkha Singh.
Shahid Kapoor — Haider
Shahid Kapoor always wanted to work with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and when he got an offer to Haider, he wasted no time thinking about it. Kapoor believed in the film and decided not to charge a single penny for his role. The film was a game-changer for the actor.
Rajkummar Rao — Trap
Rajkummar Rao didn’t charge a penny for his role in Vikramaditya Motwane Trap. On Arbaaz Khan’s chat show, the actor revealed that some movies are more special than others and said, “Some movies aren’t meant for the box office. They are meant for life. I will leave this world after 50 years or whatever but when people talk about 10 Rajkummar Rao movies they will talk about Trap.”
Amitabh Bachchan — Black
Amitabh Bachchan is one of the best actors in the industry. He is known for his kindness and versatility. He took no charge for a number of films, including Black in front of Rani Mukherjee, Paheli with Shahrukh Khan, Gatsby the magnificent, and Bowl Bachchan. In a February 2017 blog post, devoted to the film Black, the actor wrote, “I just wanted to work with Sanjay, after seeing all the other work he had done… And when the opportunity came it was pretty overwhelming. I didn’t take a salary for the film… The mere fact of being part of such a company was enough pay!
