Bollywood actors being replaced in movies midway through is nothing new. This has happened to several actors including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Sharddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput among others. Sometimes this has happened due to controversial exits due to “creative differences”, other times actors have had to leave a film after filming has started because they have given their dates to another filmmaker. . Here we look at Bollywood stars who started a movie but left it halfway through:

Kartik Aaryan

Kartik Aaryan whose film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released in theaters today sparked controversy when Dharma announced his release of Dostana 2. while it was said that the names of the new cast members will be shared with the public , nothing has been announced so far.

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai, who is currently the pride of the country representing India at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, has also been replaced in a film. Apparently, she was part of Chalte Chalte and was twinned with Shah Rukh Khan. But she had to leave the film and was replaced by Rani Mukerji.

Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor was set to play Saina Nehwal in her biopic. the actress had started filming and posters of the film were also shared. However, she was dropped from the project and was replaced by Parineeti Chopra.

Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood and Kangana Ranaut had a high profile feud while filming Manikarnika. After the actress took on the responsibility of co-directing the film, the actor expressed his displeasure and left the film halfway through.

Sushant Singh Rajput

The late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was set to star in Half Girlfriend – a film adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s novel. However, he did not act and the film and Arjun Kapoor took his place. Apparently, the actor promised his dates for Raabta and decided to stick to it.

Alia Bhat

Alia Bhatt, who is set to start her first Hollywood project, was supposed to be part of Raabta. She had given her dates and was set to star alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, however, rumors are rife that she left him midway for Karan Johar’s film. But things didn’t work out for the other film either.

Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor Khan was set to make her debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. The two stars had started touring together. There are even photos of them behind the sets, but things didn’t fall into place and Kareena backed out of the film. Ameesha Patel was brought in in her place and Kareena made her Refugee debut opposite Abhishek Bachchan.
