1. Son of Sardaar (2012):

The starring film by Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha was directed by Ashwni Dhir and it was made on a budget of Rs. 30 crores. The film earned a 4.1 rating on IMDb, but it did well at the box office and earned Rs. 161.48 crores worldwide. “Son of Sardaar” also starred Juhi Chawla and veteran actress Tanuja in prominent roles while Salman Khan made a guest appearance in the film.

2. Tubelight (2017):

Kabir Khan directed “Tubelight” with Salman Khan in the lead role; it was based on the Sino-Indian war which took place in 1962 and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan also made an appearance in the film. The movie got a poor rating of 3.9 on IMDb and it was made on a budget of Rs. 100 crore but it earned around Rs. 211 crore at the box office. Salman Khan plays the role of a mentally ill person in the film and many criticized him because they found his acting very poor.

3. Judwaa 2 (2017):

Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez were a remake of the movie “Judwaa”, released in 1997, which starred Salman Khan in the male lead role. “Judwaa 2” and “Judwaa” are both directed by David Dhawan and the second film received negative reviews from critics but became a box office hit. The film which earned a 3.6 rating on IMDb was made on a budget of Rs. 65 crore and it went on to earn around Rs. 227 crore. Salman Khan also made an appearance in “Judwaa 2”, which was a remake of his own film.

4. Race 3 (2018):

The Salman Khan star “Race 3” received negative reviews and a very poor 1.9 rating on IMDb, but the film still managed to do well at the box office. The film was directed by Remo D’Souza and it also starred Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, etc. in important roles. “Race 3”, which was made on a budget of Rs 170 crore, managed to reap moolah by raising Rs. 300 crore worldwide.

5. Veere Di Marriage (2018):

It depicts the story of four female friends played by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. The film made with a budget of Rs. 28 crores earned Rs. 139 crores at the box office despite earning a very poor 3.3 rating on IMDb. “Veere Di Wedding” was criticized by many for using explicit language and it was also banned in Pakistan.

6. Gunday (2014):

Irrfan Khan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra received mixed reviews and it got a very poor 2.6 rating on IMDb, but it had a good run at the box office. “Gunday”, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, was made on a budget of Rs. 51 crore and it earned around Rs. 130 crore. The film’s music has been adored by fans, especially the song “Tune Maari Entriyaan” has a distinct fan base.

7. Baaghi 2 (2018):

Actor Tiger Shroff is often criticized for his poor acting skills, but it won’t be wrong to say that he makes up for his acting with his dancing and fighting skills. It was the second film in the “Baaghi” franchise which also starred Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani, Deepak Dobriyal, etc. in important roles. The Ahmed Khan directed film earned a 4.8 rating on IMDb, it was made on a budget of Rs. 59 crore and went on to earn Rs. 250 crore (approx) at the box office.

8. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015)

Directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, the starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor earned a 4.4 rating on IMDb, but it was a big hit at the box office as it grossed Rs. 432 crores. The budget of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which also starred actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is said to be around Rs. 100 crore and it was the second highest grossing film of the year 2015.
