1. Bhool Bhulaiya
The one who broke the dry spell of Hindi cinema. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani star did well at the box office by raking in almost R 32 crore in two days. It received an overwhelming response from audiences and critics.
“The movie Major is about how he lived, not how he lost his life.” Based on the life of real hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Major, the film aims to show how this valiant soldier saved the lives of many hostages before being martyred by the terrorists who wreaked havoc in the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, India on Nov 26, 2008. Maidaan is an upcoming Indian Hindi biographical sports film based on the golden era of Indian football (1952-1962). The film stars Ajay Devgn as football manager Syed Abdul Rahim.
Ronnie Screwvala is set to produce a biopic about the life of celebrity chef Tarla Dalal with Huma Qureshi in the lead role. The film will be co-produced by director duo Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. The first preview of the movie is out and it already looks exciting.
The heroism of the fearless King Prithviraj Chauhan as he confronts Muhammad of Ghor. Starring the evergreen Akshay Kumar, the film is embroiled in controversy due to its title.
6. The Archies
Didn’t we all love Archies! This new cast of actors is set to make their phenomenal comic book debut. The Archies starring Dot., Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda will soon be available only on Netflix.
After multiple delays, the film will finally see the light of day. With Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, BRAHMĀSTRA- the Trilogy, is a 3-part film franchise and the beginning of India’s first original universe – the Astraverse. It is an original new cinematic universe inspired by concepts and tales deeply rooted in Indian mythology but set in the modern world, with an epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good versus evil, love and hope; all with state-of-the-art technology and unprecedented visual glasses.
8. Laal Singh Chadha
A comedy-drama film starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Inspired by the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, itself based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name, the film also features Naga Chaitanya. The film is released on August 11, 2022.
An action thriller starring Sidharth Malhotra and Raashi Khanna and Disha Patani. Karan Johar previously shared Yodha’s first preview which shows Sidharth Malhotra as a commando (Yodha) who appears to be trying to save a crashing plane. He appears to be hurt but undeterred and determined to save the passengers from the plane. Announcing the big project, KJo wrote, “Having conquered the heights, I’m proud to present Sidharth Malhotra back with a bang in the premiere of Dharma Productions’ action franchise – #Yodha. Directed by the dynamic duo – Sagar Ambre & Pushkar Ojha. Landing in cinemas near you on November 11, 2022”.
10. Jug Jug Jiyo
JugJugg Jeeyo is a story set in the heart of Patiala, and just like the city, it’s full of love and laughter, color and drama. It is about the family and its values, about unresolved aspirations and unexpected reconciliations. The film is set to be released on June 24.
