Dwayne Johnsonthe famous wrestler-turned-actor known as The Rock, has expressed his gratitude for the “genuine” love he receives from Bollywood actors.
The global star who is known for his big budget action films told Hindustan Times: “I get a lot of love from Bollywood actors and I appreciate that love. I see what they post and how they comment on it. . It means a lot to me.”
Johnson will next be seen in Red Notice, a Netflix action comedy thriller written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. The film, also starring Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, looks like a fast-paced globe-trotting entertainer.
The film was previously set to be released by Universal Pictures, before Netflix acquired its rights. Also starring are Chris Diamantopoulos and Ritu Arya.
Johnson added: “Often, [since they are] actors [they could be just] play, but the love I get from a lot of actors in India is genuine. I feel it, all along here. I love India’s energy and love has been amazing over the years. By the way, I was stalking this love when I was wrestling in WWE because wrestling is very big in India.
The Rock also praised his Red Notice co-star Reynolds, saying he’s “a really funny, witty guy with multiple layers to his sense of humor. He brings this awesome dynamic fun between us. We’ve been friends for a very long time. We literally started our careers together the same year. We’re 20 years behind us and our chemistry has worked and people will be able to see that in Red Notice as well.
The red notice is expected to be issued on November 12, 2021.
