Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon made her digital debut with the Netflix original series Aranyak. In the series, Raveena plays a cop named Kasturi Dogra, who teams up with his town-raised replacement Angad when a young foreign tourist goes missing in a Himalayan town. Raveena who was one of the best actresses of the 90s is appreciated for her performance in Aranyak.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Raveena said she believed it was the content that was the star of a show or movie rather than the actors. “Today, content is king. It always has been. That’s what I’ve always felt, it’s not the star who does things, it’s the content. You could have the biggest star and the biggest face. This is why I had said that Kastoori Dogra is so strong that maybe someone else is playing as well, not just Raveena Tandon, it probably would have touched your heart.
“I’ve always believed content was king and that’s what comes out so strongly in Aranyak. Our editors should be thanked, I think even the DOPs should be thanked. It’s a collective effort, no one should be credited, ”she added.
