There was a time in the industry when the smallest intimate scenes in movies were all the rage. At the time, audiences were uncomfortable with such scenes, and so there were hardly any daring scenes in the movies. But over time, the industry has evolved, and with it, the audience has evolved as well.
The industry has now entered a new era of love and romance. From two flowers approaching each other, we are now seeing celebrities pursing their lips on screen to flaunt their romance. However, a few celebs like Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, and Shilpa Shetty have all said a big no to kissing their co-stars even if the script calls for it.
However, on the other hand, there have been several instances where celebrities added a no-kiss clause but circumvented the self-imposed ban for certain movies. So, here we bring you a list of Bollywood actors who have violated their no kiss policy.
Shahrukh Khan: King Khan of Bollywood has romanticized many Bollywood beauties in his hit movies. However, he has always refrained from locking lips with his co-stars. Until Jab Tak Hain Jaan in 2012 where he kissed Katrina Kaif. On what SRK said, he was forced to do the scene as the script demanded and also because Yash Chopra (whom he respected a lot) was the director of the movie.
Kareena Kapoor Khan: The leading Bollywood actress kissed several co-stars in films before her marriage. But after getting married to Saif Ali Khan, she introduced a no-kiss clause in her contract. However, she broke it by kissing Arjun Kapoor in the movie Ki & Ka.
Ajay Devgn: The Singham actor surprised everyone when he broke his 25-year-old no-kissing policy by locking lips with Erika Kaar at Shivaay. The actor said there was never a written clause, he just never wanted to kiss his co-star and only kissed at Shivaay because of the demand of scenario.
Saif Ali Khan: The Bollywood Nawab could not keep his promise and broke his no-kissing policy for Rangoon where he kissed Kangana Ranaut.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: The Bollywood beauty queen refused to kiss on screen from the start of her career until she starred as the badass in Dhoom 2. When she locked lips with Hrithik Roshan.
