Actor Mrunal Thakur tested positive for COVID-19 on the first day of 2022. She took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday morning to share that she had mild symptoms and had isolated herself. The actress was spotted promoting her film Jersey in the last few weeks before its release was postponed.
“I have tested positive for Covid-19. To date, I have mild symptoms but I feel good and I have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals,” wrote the actress on Instagram.
“If you’ve been in contact with me, ask yourself to get tested immediately. Stay safe everyone,” she added.
Meanwhile, Mrunal was set to be seen on the big screen opposite Shahid Kapoor in the film. Jersey. However, a few days before the film’s release, the directors postponed its release due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.
In an official statement, the film crew wrote: “Considering the current circumstances and new guidelines from covid, we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our movie Jersey. We have received immense love from all of you until ‘now and would like to thank you all for everything. Until then, everyone stays safe and healthy, and I wish you all the best for the coming New Year !! “
