Fans of reality show ‘MTV Roadies’ were shocked when Rannvijay Singha announced he was leaving the show ahead of its next season. Since its inception in 2003, Rannvijay has been attached to the series in one way or another but he will now be replaced by actor and youth icon, Sonu Sood. Actress Neha Dhupia, who appears as a judge on the show, recently said it was heartbreaking to see Rannvijay go.
She told The Indian Express: “It breaks my heart for sure. I love him very much. I spent half a decade on the show. I know Sonu is replacing him. He is also a very dear friend. I know he would do a great job. But…ah! I can’t explain how it feels. I think one of the reasons I used to watch Roadies before to be part of it was Rann. And I loved the whole time I spent with it. I’m almost emotional to say it. But it is what it is. I’m sure Sonu will be great too.
On the other hand, Sonu Sood is super excited to start this new journey. In a previous statement, he said: “MTV Roadies portrays the phenomenal spirit of youth, who dare to challenge their limits. The new season is going to be full of adrenaline and adventure and will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. show is delivered with an infectious energy; something that will inspire me every step of the way to push my limits too. I am excited to welcome the season ahead and take the contestants through this South African expedition.
