Recently, Akshay Kumar delivered his first highest grossing of the year with director Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, which got us thinking about who are the Bollywood actors with the highest grossing per year. So we set out to dig into the archives to put together a comprehensive list from 1950 to 2021. Salman Khan absolutely tops the list with nine top spots at the end of the year, followed by Dilip Kumar and Aamir Khan with six each, while Shah Rukh Khan, Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan complete the top six with five films each. Surprisingly, superstars like Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar only have one biggest grosser of the year each with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Sooryavanshi while other superstars like Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna lack it little with two each. Tiger Shroff and Ranbir Kapoor are the only modern actors with the highest grossing each to their name by War and Sanju. Will they be able to add their names to the roster along with other such films and which of their contemporaries might join them later?
