Shantanu Bhamare was awarded for his contribution to various social works for society at large which he has been doing for many years. He is the founder and chairman of Giants Group Of Pune Metro (a social group affiliated with Giants International, which was started in Bombay in 1972. An active and social service oriented group under the leadership of the late Padmashri Nana Chudasama. Nana was the only who served as Sheriff in Mumbai for 2 consecutive years).
Giants Group Of Pune Metro, he has done many projects like Save Girl Child, Blood Donation, Eye Donation, Tree Plantation, helping underprivileged students by giving school books, school uniforms and free tuition to underprivileged students. He also helped Nivara nursing home in Pune by spending 4 hours with them and empathetically interviewing the residents of Nivara nursing home, when he learned that they lacked food grains, Shantanu provided them with cereals as well as a medical kit to take care of their health.
Shantanu Bhamare has released various awareness videos for Indian citizens in general during the peak times of Corona which started in the country in March 2020. Shantanu took the help of his strong Bollywood contacts, took their video bytes which cover what Indian citizens should do and what they shouldn’t do in the Corona Pandemic, also calling on Indian citizens to follow the guidelines set by the government.
