“It’s the first time I’ve played two characters. It’s quite exciting, and I’ve always wanted to play two characters. When I saw actors playing dual roles, I wished I could do the same , but I never had the Balaji Telefilms gave me the opportunity after 35-36 years, which I treasured,” she said while speaking to IANS.
“I’ve always thought variation was very important; if you look at me in Nagin 6, the Tara character that I play is an adivasi, and I made her look quite primitive and kept her makeup very dark,” she said of the distinctions she made between two characters,” she said. she adds.
“I do, however, have braids and a long bindi for the role of Seema, which I also play. He looks great. When I saw myself in the mirror as an actor, I realized how much those two looks are different and distinct,” she continued.
Describing the difficulties, she added, “The hardest part of playing various roles is looking different. The mannerisms have to be distinct, especially when they’re in the same setting. The hardest part nice is to see yourself in both positions.”
She then revealed how she found out about the dual role. “I remember the costume designer emailing me saying these are Seema’s mother’s sarees, to which I replied, “Maybe you gave them to me by mistake, because I play in Seema.” She informed me that I was playing two roles, which surprised me because no one had informed me of this information. But I was never worried because I was sure of my abilities and prepared,” she explained.
