For quite some time, most Bollywood movies have not been able to show anything special at the box office despite being made with a very big budget. Meanwhile, today we are going to tell you about some of those movies that cost less than 10 crores to make, but in terms of box office earnings, those movies were a big hit and were great.


Vidya Balan’s crime thriller ‘Kahaani’, which was released in 2012, was highly praised by the audience. The film was made on a budget of around 8 crores, but it earnsed 104 crores at the box office.

No one killed Jessica

The movie “No One Killed Jessica”, released in 2011, was made on a budget of only 9 crores, but it made around 46 crores at the box office. Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerji were seen in this movie.

Bheja Fry

Rajat Kapoor’s 2007 movie “Bheja Fry” was made in just Rs 60 lakh. Although it made a box office collection of 19 crores.

Vicky Donor

Ayushmann Khurrana’s debut film “Vicky Donor” is also on this list. It earned 67 crore at the box office. Although it only took 5 crore rupees to make it.

The surname is that of the 2010 movie “Peepli Live”, which earned 48 crore at the box office after being made on a budget of 10 crore.

Late actor Irrfan Khan’s film “Paan Singh Tomar” was also prepared with a budget of 8 crores and garnered around 19 crores at the box office.
