A low-budget film made on a budget of only Rs. 12-15 crore earned Rs. 200 crore worldwide in just 10 days of its theatrical release. When was the last time you saw that kind of response from moviegoers in theaters?
The Kashmir files, which revolve around the plight and mass exodus of Pandits/Hindus from Kashmir that took place in the valley in 1990, made this possible.
The film is already considered a blockbuster and is now on its way to becoming a landmark film as it continues to turn the dream around at the box office.
TKF released in limited screens with no big celebrities in the movie with fewer promotions, still stands before all the biggies, like Radhe Shyam, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Batman, etc.
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, who is not on good terms with many people from the Bollywood fraternity due to his outspoken opinions on the content Bollywood continues to produce, has seen very little support for his movie likewise.
Here we share the list of those few celebrities who supported Vivek’s The Kashmir Files.
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut is among the first in Bollywood to support Vivek’s film. Being married to a Kashmiri Pandit, I know firsthand the atrocities that this peace-loving community has suffered. But the majority of the nation is still unaware. It took us 32 years and a movie to find out the truth. Please watch and support #TheKashmirFiles . 🙏 https://t.co/rjHmKVmiXZ
