Actor Varun Dhawan is busy promoting his upcoming movie “Bhediya” in which he will be seen playing a werewolf. The film also stars actors Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal and filming took place in Arunachal Pradesh. During a recent promotional event, Varun shared that during filming, he and his co-stars used to impersonate Akshay Kumar in front of actress Kriti Sanon who also worked with Akshay on the movie “Bachchan Pandey.”
Varun said, “I remember, during Bhediya’s first schedule, we were shooting at Mira Road and that was my first scene with Abhishek. And, Kriti was coming from Bachchhan Paandey’s shooting, and seeing her, we were starting to play in Akshay Kumar Ji’s style in every scene. Kriti was actually starting and later we were jumping into it.”
Abhishek who was also present praised Akshay and said, “Akshay sir’s comedy timing is the best. to speak or act like him. When his energy enters you, your performance automatically improves.”
Varun then praised comedian Kapil Sharma for taking the craft to new heights among the masses. He said: “There used to be a stigma around comedy as a genre, but Kapil broke that stigma. In our country, people assume that those who are stupid do comedy when in reality, people who do comedy are smart and the wittiest of them all.”
