Bollywood movies are known for their locations. Sometimes picturesque, often opulent, it’s the hard work of the production team who scout out a few hundred locations before settling on the final spots. However, for the next five films, the locations were offered to them by the main actors, as they were filmed inside their own homes. 1. Fan
This film could be seen as India’s response to Multiverse of Madness with SRK playing himself and his own fan. Naturally, for effect, the scenes had to be shot inside the iconic Mannat. There are a few sequences where the superstar was gracious enough for the production to take over his bungalow facing the sea.

2. Sanju
Scenes of Ranbir Kapoor starring were filmed at Sanjay Dutt’s posh apartment in Imperial Heights, Mumbai. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, was a biopic about Dutt’s life.

3. Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh
Directed by Karan Johar and part of the Bombay Talkies anthology series, this short film starred Rani Mukerji and Randeep Hooda in the lead roles. The film, which navigated the troubled marriage between the two leads, was also shot at Johar’s sea-facing house in Mumbai.

4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Although the film was largely shot in Kashmir and parts of Pakistan, the producers also revealed that some footage was also shot at Salman Khan‘s Panvel farm.

5. Veer Zara and Rang De Basanti
The Indo-Pak love story also featured footage that was filmed at Saif Ali Khan’s ancestral homestead, Pataudi Palace. The same location was also chosen for Rakeysh’s film Omprakash Mehra starring Aamir Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Madhavan alongside an ensemble cast.
